Stuffing Recipe Stovetop
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can of red pimiento, drained
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 32fl oz chicken broth or more
- 1 box of stuffing mix
Instructions:
- Brown the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
- Sauté Vegetables: Add the chopped onion, celery, red and green bell peppers, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Mix in Pimiento: Stir in the drained pimiento and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Combine with Stuffing: In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef and vegetable mixture with the stuffing mix.
- Add Chicken Broth: Pour the chicken broth over the stuffing mix and stir gently until everything is evenly moistened, you can add more for more moist
- Cook on Stovetop (Optional): If you prefer moist stuffing, you can cook all the ingredients in the pot over low heat until everything is heated through and well combined, rather than baking it.
- Serve: Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm as a delicious side dish.
Tips:
- Variations: Customize your stuffing by adding additional spices or herbs like thyme, rosemary, or parsley for extra flavor.
- Make-Ahead: You can prepare the mixture ahead of time and cook it just before serving.
- Leftovers: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
