Flan Recipe


Ingredients
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
4 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water


Instructions
In a blender, combine the condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, 4 whole eggs, and 2 egg yolks. Blend until smooth.


In a pot, add 1/4 cup water and 1 cup sugar.


Cook over medium heat until the sugar turns golden brown. Watch it closely because it can burn fast.


Once the caramel is ready, quickly pour it into your pan and tilt the pan so the bottom is covered.


Immediately pour the flan mixture over the caramel.


Place the pan in a larger baking pan and add water to the larger pan for a water bath.


Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 60 minutes.


When it is done, let it cool completely.
Chill in the fridge for 4 hours before serving.


Tip
I don’t waste the egg whites. I usually make the flan in the morning and use the egg whites for breakfast so they don’t go to waste.
